Technology solutions for mitigating the coronavirus risk in legal services

Updated: Please read our Remote Conferencing guide for instructions on holding depositions, hearings, and other proceedings via web conference.

With the current global concerns of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and its worldwide impact, the legal services industry faces disruptions and changes to mitigate the risk and impact of the disease.

Much like other industries adapting technology to offset the disruptions, modern court reporting technology solutions provide alternatives to traveling or cancelling assignments. At Lake Cook Reporting, we are providing a number of technology solutions to assist attorneys and law firms in carrying out important legal proceedings with minimal interruptions.

Our company will be providing the following services in response to Coronavirus concerns:

  • Discounted video evidence deposition recordings for any key witnesses or expert witnesses so their depositions can be played back in court rather than having a witness travel for trial. Live trial testimony streamed from our offices to any courtroom also available.

  • Remote court reporting solutions – Our court reporters connect via high definition video conferencing allowing depositions to proceed remotely. Witnesses and attorneys can connect from places of their choosing using laptops or tablets with webcams for video/audio and a stable internet connection.

Furthermore, we are also taking CDC recommended steps in regards to availability of hand sanitizers, face masks, employee and contractor education on hand hygiene, requiring employees/court reporters to stay home if experiencing symptoms or elevated body temperatures, and properly sanitizing workstations and conference rooms after each use.

Additionally, our client services team will work with you to provide solutions for your depositions.
